- Notification Content: To provide AI-powered summaries, our app uses Android's Notification Listener Service to read the content of your incoming notifications. This includes the notification's title, text, and the name of the source application.
- Device ID: We collect a randomly generated, anonymous device identifier to provide you with usage statistics on your "Stats" screen. This ID is not linked to your personal identity.
B. Information You Provide to Us
- App Settings: We store the settings you configure within the app, such as your chosen theme, pause duration, and summary retention period, locally on your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Core Service: The primary use of your notification content is to generate concise, AI-powered summaries of what you missed during a "pause" session.
- To Operate and Maintain the App: Your saved settings are used to personalize and operate the app according to your preferences.
- To Display Usage Statistics: The anonymous device ID is used to fetch and display your personal notification statistics within the app.
3. How We Share Your Information (Important)
To provide our AI summarization feature, we must share some of your data with third-party service providers.
- Third-Party AI Providers: The content of your notifications (title and text) is sent securely to third-party AI services, such as Google (Gemini), for processing. These services analyze the text and return a summary to be displayed within the app. We do not share any other personal information with these providers.

4. Data Storage and Retention
- Local Storage: Your settings and generated summaries are stored locally in a private SQLite database on your device.
- Data Retention: Notification content is processed ephemerally to create summaries and is not stored long-term by us. Generated summaries are retained on your device according to the "Summary Retention Period" you select in the app's settings.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. All data sent to our third-party AI providers is transmitted securely over HTTPS. All other data remains on your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Pauzzze is not intended for or directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
